The reading load on www-talk has been a problem for a long time,
so we have decided to fork off a large part of it which is the
HTML[+] related discussion. There is therefore a NEW LIST
www-html@info.cern.ch.

To subscribe, send a mail containing the body

subscribe www-html Your Full Name

(put your real name in of course) to the address

listserv@info.cern.ch

** If you want to get mail on HTML and HTML+ do this NOW.**

** Please don't send any more mail on HTML to www-talk list. ***

Please use the list processor. (Our overloaded administrators will not
be able to help you personally very quickly but
listmaster@info.cern.ch is an address if you are *desperate*!).

Do *NOT* send subscribe or unsubscribe requests to the whole
list or you will incur the wrath of the net.

---------------------------------------------

At the same time, I'd like to sharpen the focus of www-talk to
discussions of the evolution of WWW standards (URLs, HTTP etc
and all related things, how things could/should work,

developments coming up, requirements, etc),
and dissuade newcomers from asking questions on it,
comp.infosystems.www being a more appropriate forum for the
"how can I get blue headings?" sort of question.
